Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
These terms govern use of Riviera’s order-intake and agent-readable storefront service (the “Service”) by restaurants (“merchants”) and by customers who place orders through an AI assistant connected to Riviera. By using the Service, a merchant or customer agrees to these terms.
What Riviera provides
Riviera structures a merchant’s menu, prices, modifiers, delivery rules, and opening hours so that an AI assistant can read them accurately, produce a quote, check delivery eligibility, and submit an order request. Riviera passes that request to the merchant for acceptance or rejection and reports order status back to the customer. Riviera is not a food delivery marketplace and does not operate delivery drivers or logistics.
Merchant responsibilities
- Keep menu, price, modifier, delivery zone, and opening-hours data current and accurate.
- Respond to order requests in a timely manner (accept or reject).
- Fulfil accepted orders as described to the customer at the time of confirmation.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate delivery and contact information.
- Understand that an order is not confirmed with the restaurant until the restaurant accepts it.
Order confirmation and acceptance
No order is submitted to a merchant without explicit customer confirmation of the final price. A submitted order is not guaranteed until the merchant accepts it. Riviera will never represent an order as accepted before the merchant has actually accepted it.
Payments
Depending on the merchant’s configuration, payment is made on delivery, on collection, or via a Stripe payment link issued after the merchant accepts the order. Riviera does not currently support stored payment cards, wallet mandates, or autonomous/agent-initiated payments without a specific customer action.
Service availability
Riviera is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service, the AI assistant integrations it depends on, or any third-party platform (for example, Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) through which a customer accesses it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riviera is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including errors in a merchant’s own menu or delivery data as supplied to Riviera.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update the “last updated” date above when these terms change and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify merchants directly.
